My sister complained at me...

So I thought I'd pop in real quick while the girls are sleeping

I've also been ignoring my Facebook pretty thoroughly, just checking in to see how my friends and family are doing, not really updating anyone else. SO I figured I'd do a two-in-one post...My life via potential Facebook status updates :) Yeah.

  • Sick as a dog yesterday and today. Thanks Jana....wait, are sinus infections contagious?? All the same, ya'll had better stay away from me and my germs; this thing sucks.
  • Audri peed on the floor today...and then wanted candy for "going potty in the bathroom." I think she forgot that it's actually for "going potty in the toilet..." not simply "in the bathroom."
  • Elsie is getting cuter and cuter, just like Audri. She's growing up so fast though, she'll be 5 months tomorrow! I don't know what to do!! I want to keep her cute and little forever...but at the same time I'm excited for when she will sit and play with toys with her big sis. How cute will that be???
  • I didn't know it was snowing until I heard Audri from the kitchen saying, "Momma it's snowing outside!! Look it's snowing outside!!" My little girl is using full sentences!! I love her.
  • I hired a babysitter to come by for 2 hours 2 days a week...it's amazing how much I can get done with 4 hours out of my week. She is not here today, however because I'm sick and don't feel like passing it around. Guess I'm just selfish :)
  • Miguel's spring break is some random week in March...everyone else's is some other week at the end of March/or in April...can't plan anything WITH anyone that way. Meh.
  • Sometimes when I give Miguel hugs Audri is standing nearby and gets jealous. She starts making sounds like she's sad and saying, "Hey!...Hey!" but today she said, "Daddy you're killin' me!" It was too cute. We just laughed.
  • Audri loves to dress up in dresses/tutus, and twirl around in the living room while singing songs to Elsie. Love that.
  • I'm turning 23 this year...and I've got two kids and we'll be celebrating our 4 year anniversary. WEird! But definitely cool and exciting all at the same time. I just still don't feel like a grown-up yet. Does that make sense?
  • I got to see my family last week. I miss my family more and more every time I get to visit :( they always feel like such short visits and we're never all together at the same time....Someday this will change.
  • My little brother is now officially waiting for a mission call. Cute :) My "little brother." Time flies eh? I hope he gets to speak Spanish somewhere. It's taking over. That and Chinese....but I wouldn't wish that on him...
  • Elsie rolls over back and forth. It's pretty awesome. She also scooches around on her tummy and back. I'm secretly hoping she doesn't really learn how to crawl but just does the little army crawl thing Audri used to do until she learns how to walk. Teehee.
Yeah, I'm gunna go take a nap now before the kidlets wake up. Love and miss you all. Hope that is a little bit of an update :)

Smileys and Russian Tea Cakes

Elsie is really good at those now. She loves to smile. Especially when you smile at her first. I love it. My fav is when she sticks her neck out slightly and gives me a little smile with a coo, as if to say "hey." So cute. None of us are sleeping through the night yet...neither child is potty trained, okay, so Audri isn't and Elsie shouldn't be. Both still take bottles (I pump for Elsie, every single feeding. Ridiculous? Yes indeed.) and I think it's a comfort for Audri during this huge time of change for her to still have her bottle. Actual milk seems to irritate her stomach and give her rashes so we've switched her to rice and/or almond or soy milk and she does just fine. I'm thinking after we get some good sleeping patterns in we can work on getting rid of the bottle for her.

Also, Audri is turning 2! In 3 weeks I will have a 2 year old and a 3 month old. They are absolutely wonderful little girls and I'm excited. They've both brought us so much joy and happiness. I never knew I would enjoy sleep deprivation and changing poopy diapers so much. Okay, so those aren't the parts I actually enjoy. You get my point though right?

Audri is saying and doing incredibly silly things now. I can't even keep track of them. Miguel wants me to take pictures whenever she does something crazy, but I'm trying not to encourage all of those things and I'm thinking if I take pictures she'll think they're...cool? Like unrolling an ENTIRE roll of toilet paper in the living room and stringing it about. Not cool. Oh, and waiting until you're pooping to tell mommy that you need to go potty...when you don't have a diaper on. Not cool. Trying to share with baby Elsie...pieces of your cheese...Not cool.

In other news: Miguel is almost done with the semester and then we're headed to Portland for Christmas and New Years. Woohoo!! I'm excited for him to be able to chill a little and not have school. We miss him when he's gone all day at school. For Christmas this year Miguel and I got each other the Asus eee Transformer. Its a tablet. We got the attachable keyboard as well that turns it into a little notebook. We pretty much love it. But yeah, basically we're still getting stuff in our stockings and maybe a small gift just to have something to unwrap on Christmas Day. Audri is going to have a blast because it will be her first Christmas that she actually can unwrap her presents and know what's going on. I'm going to love it too.
Our ward has recently been split up. They took apart the two wards that were here and made a third ward out of some people. We're still in the same ward with the same callings though. Which, I think is kind of nice in a way. We're just now starting to get settled and knowing people. Tonight is a Relief Society activity. A cookie exchange. I'm going because I have to lead the music :) I'm excited for cookies. Someone should definitely bring Russian tea cakes. Yum!
I know I've been promising pictures for forever now, but they will be up this week before we leave or else I'll have WAY too much to catch up on. Love and miss you all.
